Journalist. Medical Student. Storyteller.

Seattle, WA

Growing up as a Singaporean American and piecing together my own story of race, religion, and culture, I wanted to learn the many identity stories of the world. As a result, I am curious about how others have grappled with the intrinsic, inherited, and learned influences in their lives. I cover and write stories that deliver readers the overlooked and unexpected from people and their communities.

Currently, I am a medical student at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. I completed my undergraduate years at the University of Washington as a double major in both biology and journalism where I became interested in the intersection of science and humanities. In my free time, I enjoy making music, playing basketball, and exploring the world of fandom and fan culture.
